Head Coach Lisa Spear
First Presbyterian Day School is pleased to announce that Lisa Spear will assume the role of Head Softball Coach for the 2020-21 school year. Lisa will begin her 26th year of service to FPD this coming Fall, where she has built a reputation of respect and loyalty to her teams, classes, and the entire school. She is revered by her colleagues and students alike for her professionalism and attention to fulfilling the mission of our school.
“Lisa will be fantastic as Head Coach of our softball program,” said FPD Athletic Director, Greg Moore. “Our softball families will appreciate her gifts and our girls will love her. Lisa has proven throughout her career that she is a great coach, and her heart for our school and any team she coaches is evident.”
Coach Spear, a member of our Middle School teaching faculty, was named Teacher of the Year in 2017. She previously enjoyed success as a head coach in girls basketball and in girls track. She served as an assistant coach in FPD’s softball program for fifteen years, and she will continue as an assistant coach in girls basketball and soccer.
“I am excited about this new opportunity, and I am really looking forward to working with the girls as we seek to continue our softball program’s great success,” said Spear.
