Head Girls Volleyball Coach Stephanie Harrell

Stephanie Harrell begins her third year at FPD and second year as a head coach of the girls volleyball team after serving last year as assistant coach. Harrell also serves as a Chemistry teacher at the school.

Harrell played four years of varsity volleyball at Jenkins High School in Savannah and was captain her junior and senior years. While there she captured multiple awards including offensive MVP, Coach’s Award, and highest GPA.

Along with playing at the high school level, Harrell played three years with the Club Savannah volleyball team in high school.

As the head coach in 2012, Harrell led the Lady Vikings to the school’s first appearance in the GHSA State Tournament in the school’s first year of varsity competition.

At Georgia Tech, Harrell played one year of club volleyball. While on the club team, she served as player, captain, official, and supervisor for basketball, softball, volleyball, and flag football for GT intramurals. Harrell also was committee chair for the sand and indoor volleyball programs.

Her hobbies include playing volleyball and tennis, watching college football, going out in the boat or to the beach, and running. She also enjoys babysitting.

Harrell earned‚Ä® degree in Biochemistry from Georgia Tech a certificate in Social Psychology, and M.A.T. Science Education from Georgia State University‚Ä®.
